CEO Report - November 2025

Published on October 30, 2025

As we move into the final couple of months of 2025, we are also in the middle of a very busy Conference period - including the RMA Conference in Perth (21-25 Oct), the AAPM Conference in Melbourne (21-24 Oct) and the GP25 Conference in Brisbane (13-15 Nov).

As I reflect on my time at recent conferences, most of all I value the relationships I can share with colleagues - new and old - and the shared values and priorities of those present. Most attendees make significant sacrifices to attend - travelling long distances, forgoing work/income and being away from family. Despite this people keep coming - a testament to their worth, the learnings, fostering of relationships and the inspiration that comes from leaders in the field.

The biggest challenge is taking the 'conference experience' and learnings and putting them into practice back home in our own communities in the midst of work and family pressures. Can I encourage each of you to jot down a couple of key learnings and key changes you would like to make upon your return, pin them on the wall and revisit before the end of the year as a reminder.

In this issue of eNews we share the results of our 2025 National Survey, stories and photos from AAPM and RMA and some other upcoming events as well as a smorgasbord of GPSA resources.

Early in 2026 the GPSA Staff and Board will be focusing on our new Strategic plan and welcome any comments, ideas and priorities that you as our members would encourage GPSA to pursue over the next 3 years. We would love to hear from you.
