GPSA Annual Report Showcases a Year of Progress and Sector Leadership
GPSA’s 2024–25 Annual Report highlights a year of major achievements amid significant change across the general practice training landscape.
A key milestone was the successful revision of the NTCER, completed with GPRA, delivering the most comprehensive update in years and providing clearer, contemporary employment terms for registrars and practices. GPSA’s advocacy remained strong, ensuring supervisor perspectives were heard across government, colleges, and training providers.
The organisation continued to build capability with more than 30 webinars, the launch of the Orientation to Supervision program, and new tools including Consultation! The Board Game. The annual National Supervision Survey also provided valuable insights that shaped GPSA’s priorities and strengthened evidence-informed support for members.
Leadership transitions included farewelling former CEO Carla Taylor and Research Lead Dr Samia Toukhsati, both recognised for their significant contributions.
GPSA maintained a strong national and international presence, showcased new resources at key conferences, and continued to facilitate the Supervisor Liaison Officer Advisory Council.
With a committed team and engaged membership, GPSA enters the year ahead focused on practical support, sustainable recognition for supervisors, and strengthening the culture that grows Australia’s future GPs.
