Unlocking hidden potential through collaboration

As we head into the last month of 2024, I can’t help but reflect on GPSA’s mantra throughout this hectic year:

Collaboration, not competition, is the key to unlocking hidden potential.

As a Board made up of seven very unique individuals working together to support the hardworking GPSA team for the benefit of the Australian GP supervision community, we started 2024 with a commitment to ensuring that GPSA continues to uphold its values, mission and vision. We have held firm to that commitment...

AGM outcomes a sign we're on the right track!

Members have endorsed the achievements of the GPSA Board throughout 2024 by re-electing all three incumbent Directors required to retire on rotation at this year's AGM.

We would like to thank Dr Shea Wilcox for his contribution as a Director since his appointment after last year's AGM, and note that Dr Patrick McSharry came very close to shaking up the status quo with the substantial number of votes he secured! But the overwhelming majority elected these four candidates to join Doctors Frank Maldari and Nick Tellis and Mrs Leonie Chamberlain on the GPTA representative Board effective Friday 29th November, 2024:

  • Dr Srishti Dutta
  • Dr Candice Baker
  • Dr Kate Manderson
  • Dr Sara Fergusson

Women GP Supervisors - Find Your Tribe!

Introducing Women supervisors’ CIRCLE

Women supervisors’ CIRCLE is a new program designed specifically for women GP supervisors to connect, collaborate, and grow together in a safe, supportive online space. It provides a platform to share experiences, refine supervision skills, build confidence, and expand professional networks.

Women GP supervisors asked for a space where they could come together to share what matters most to them and support one another’s goals and needs without being confined by rigid structures or hierarchies. This program is a response to that call, recognising the unique perspectives women bring for learners and trainees and the importance of sustaining and empowering this cohort as leaders in supervision.
