What do you know about... HandnHand

Published on March 25, 2025

Helping Australia’s Nurses and Doctors (or Hand-n-Hand) is a free and confidential peer support service for doctors, nurses and allied health professionals which matches peers who have similar professional experiences.

All peer support facilitators are trained and work voluntarily.

Peer support participants can choose to receive support in a group or one-on-one.

Peer support is offered online or over-the-phone and can be done individually or in small groups.

Participants are triaged to ensure the service is right for them, with those requiring clinical support steered toward other services.

More information is available here and you are welcome to reach out directly to the organisation's Chief Executive, Angela Magarry by email: [email protected].
