2. NT Registrar Attraction Grants

The RACGP has introduced a trial of the NT Training Grant to incentivise candidates to select the NT as their preferred training region.

Key Details:
  • Grant Overview: A $20,000 grant distributed in two payments of $10,000 each.
  • Payment Schedule: Payments will be made upon completing GPT1 and GPT2 in the NT, provided the registrar signed up for the NT training region at the time of selection.
  • Additional Incentives: The grant is offered in addition to existing registrar placement incentives provided by the RACGP, other grant offerings, and NCP framework payments to registrars.
  • Part-Time Training: Registrars completing their training part-time remain eligible and will receive payments upon completing GPT1 and GPT2, regardless of the year.
  • Eligibility: No application is required. Registrars who are successfully offered a position in the AGPT program in the NT and complete GPT1 and GPT2 in the region will automatically qualify.
This initiative highlights RACGP’s commitment to addressing workforce needs in the NT.
