Survey - Assessment & Management of Pain During IUD Insertion

Published on August 4, 2026

Have your Say! Australian Primary Healthcare Practitioner survey on assessment and management of pain during IUD insertion.

As part of Monash University's work at the SPHERE CRE and AusCAPPS, they are conducting a national online survey to better understand current practices and support needs of Australian primary healthcare practitioners in assessing and managing pain during intra‑uterine device (IUD) insertion.

Who can participate?

All healthcare practitioners working in primary healthcare who insert IUDs, including GPs, nurse practitioners, midwives, and other AHPRA-registered practitioners.

Why your input matters

Your insights will help inform the development of evidence‑based training and resources to support primary healthcare practitioners better, and people seeking contraception counselling and IUD insertion services.
