1. Great GPs start with great supervisors
Your experience as a supervisor plays a vital role in shaping the future of general practice.
You're guiding the next generation of GPs, and your insights are essential to understanding what's working in training and what needs to change.
The Health of the Nation survey informs advocacy on workforce sustainability, training conditions and investment in the sector.
The survey takes 15 minutes, is anonymous, and closes at 11.59 pm (AEST) on 3 May.
2. Lead culturally safe care in practice
Strengthen your practice with a new three-part webinar series from the National Association of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Practitioners (NAATSIHWP), based on the RACGP-endorsed resource Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Practitioners in Primary Health Care – A Guide for General Practice.
The series builds understanding of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker and Health Practitioner workforce, and their critical role in delivering culturally safe, high-quality care.
Participants will gain clarity on scope of practice, employment and funding arrangements, and the structural and cultural factors that influence workforce sustainability.
Webinar series starts 28 May - Register Now
3. New CPD course for AGPT supervisors
A new CPD-accredited course is now live on gplearning.
'Changing the antibiotic prescribing habits of registrars' (ChAP) aims to help you:
- understand registrars' prescribing habits within a global context
- develop your understanding of the short- and long-term effects of inappropriate prescribing
- explore the risks and benefits of prescribing for common RTI presentations
- educate and enable patients to self-manage acute RTIs, where appropriate.
To access the course, search 'ChAP' in the gplearning search tool and self-enrol.
