1. Update From The ACRRM Supervision Team

Last month we held an online workshop for supervisors in MM5+ locations or using an approved remote supervision model. The session was a great success, weaving supervisor education together with practical rural and remote context — a format that clearly resonated with attendees.

We received great feedback from our first Supervisor Newsletter, which aims to be a central hub for key updates. It will be sent quarterly, with the next edition due mid-May.

This month in collaboration with the RACGP, we are working to deliver Bi-College education for supervisors — keep an eye on our events page and your inbox for dates and invitations.

2. NSW Supervisor Education Workshops

The ACRRM NSW/ACT regional team will be delivering face-to-face supervisor education across NSW in the coming months. These sessions provide a valuable opportunity to build and refresh your supervision knowledge, engage with the NSW/ACT ACRRM team, and connect with fellow local accredited supervisors.

Topics will include:

  • Preparing registrars for ACRRM assessments

  • When things go wrong: scenario-based challenging situations for the registrar–supervisor–practice

  • In-practice teaching: formal and informal approaches (including the interface between the Medical Educator and supervisor)

  • Matching teaching and learning styles

3. VIC Medical Educator & Supervisor PD Day
