CEO Report - December 2025

With conference season now behind us, many of us are turning our focus to what we want to achieve before the end of 2025, and looking even further ahead as planning for 2026 and beyond begins.

For GPSA, the next couple of months will see the Board and Staff undertaking the development of our new 5 Year Strategic Plan, culminating in discussions in Adelaide early February. This time period coincides with the 5 year commitment given by DoDHA for our core GPSA funding to 2031. 

As we wrap up and review the year’s activities, looking ahead can feel challenging - yet it’s a vital part of resetting our organisational focus, clarifying priorities, and ensuring strong governance. If you have ideas or insights to share with GPSA, we would truly welcome your input.

In looking ahead, one of the key questions becomes 'Do we do some things differently?' Perhaps we STOP doing some things, MAINTAIN those areas that are working well and START some new activities - where gaps have been identified or priorities have changed. 

As we wind up 2025, I'd like to share the best wishes of the GPSA team for the coming Christmas and New Year and the hope that you get the opportunity to both celebrate achievements and also have a well deserved break.
