GPSA / JCTS MoU

GPSA and JCTS have entered into a MoU to cement their shared commitment to advancing cultural safety as a central pillar of general practice (GP) training. This landmark agreement formalises a unique collaboration between the national peak body for GP supervision and the organisation charged with equipping all GPs with the skills to deliver culturally safe healthcare, particularly in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.

Exploring innovation in health professional education - GPSA at ANZAHPE 2025

Supporting the supporters: inside the SLO experience

As a Supervisor Liaison Officer, Dr James Best plays a vital role behind the scenes supporting, advocating for, and connecting those who guide the next generation of GPs. His journey reflects the heart of what it means to support the supporters.

We caught up with James in the lead up to the ACRRM Supervisors Summit being held in Sydney on 13-15 August. James has the important role of "MC" for the summit and we wish him well for that.

Final Reminder: National Registrar Survey

The NRS is now open for AGPT, RVTS, and RGTS registrars, collecting vital feedback to improve GP training and shape future programs. Please remind your registrars to complete it, we suggest you mention it at your next staff meeting or teaching session. The survey closes mid-August, so your prompt support is greatly appreciated.

GPSA recognises the traditional custodians of the land and waterways on which GP/RG supervisors and training practice teams work and live. 

The GPSA Board and team extend their gratitude to the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing for entrusting this independent organisation to deliver AGPT support activities for GP and RG supervisors under Commonwealth funding.
