1. 2025.2 placement process
The RACGP placement process for 2025.2 has begun, with the training site capacity update now open in the training management system (TMS) until 17 March.
The information provided in this update is vital for us to understand training vacancies for 2025.2 and help us equitably distribute registrars for placements across Australia. This is also a great opportunity to update your practice profile and ensure your contact details are up to date.

Visit our website to access supervisor professional development resources and guidelines. Whether you're looking for practical advice on how to support your registrars, updates on regulatory requirements or information on training tools, we have you covered.
3. Do you know someone who would make a great GP or Rural Generalist?
Australia needs a strong general practice workforce. With your support, we can encourage the next generation to become a GP. If you know someone who is looking for a challenging, diverse and highly rewarding medical career, encourage them to take the first steps towards becoming a GP or rural generalist with the RACGP.
Applications for the 2026 Australian General Practice Training Program with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) open on Monday 3 March 2025.
