World AIDS Day: 1 December 2024

World AIDS Day is held on 1 December each year to help raise awareness about HIV and AIDS.

While HIV is still a global epidemic, Australia'a HIV prevalence is much lower than comparable high-income countries. 

Australia has a proud history of collaboration on the HIV response. This collaborative spirit continues in World AIDS Day events across the country.
