SLO Advisory Council - Outcomes of 2nd Meeting for 2026

Published on June 30, 2026
In the recent SLO Advisory Cuncil online meeting, a draft update of the Memorandum of Understanding for the SLO Advisory Committee was discussed.

The most significant update was the inclusion of RVTS as a member training organisation (rather than the term 'college') as part of SLOAC, and the language of the draft MoU updated accordingly, which is to be reviewed by the 3 member training organisations.

Also, various states and territories gave updates on how bi-college supervisor education events are evolving, which have commenced in many of the jurisdictions and is gaining pace heading towards planning for 2027.

Further discussion was also made around GPSA developing a calendar of supervisor education events, though the logistics of this and how to coordinate the different training organisations' events is still being worked through, and will be further discussed at the face-to-face meeting later in the year.

The remaining SLOAC meeting for 2026 is:
  • Face-to-Face (RLO/SLO): October 9th, 2026, in Sydney.
All SLOs from RACGP, ACRRM and RVTS are encouraged to attend.
All SLOs will be notified ahead of the meetings.
