Newly Appointed GPSA Chair Highlights Safer, More Supportive GP Training Environment

We’re pleased to share that our newly appointed Chair, Dr Candice Baker was interviewed by The Medical Republic for an article in reponse to the recently released 2025 Medical Training Survey. 

The piece, “Less bullying, harassment in GP training,” highlights encouraging improvements in GP training culture. The article reports that GP trainees are experiencing significantly lower rates of bullying and harassment compared with other specialties.

In the interview, our Chair, Dr Candice Baker, emphasised the vital role of strong, well-supported supervision in general practice and the importance of continuing to foster safe, respectful training environments as more doctors choose the GP pathway.
