From the Chair

These days, a fair bit of my non‑clinical life unfolds in basketball stadiums, where my nearly 11‑year‑old son is busy living his dream. Sitting courtside one day, I found myself reflecting on the unexpected parallels between basketball and supervision.

Make the most of ReCEnT

A new CPD-accredited course is now available on Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) gplearning to help supervisors better understand and use data from the Registrar Clinical Encounters in Training (ReCEnT) program. Introduction to ReCEnT and the registrar feedback report explains how to interpret registrar feedback reports and use them to support reflective learning in supervision. Developed with input from supervisors and medical educators, the course is designed as a practical tool to help practices make the most of ReCEnT. Log in to gplearning, search “recent”, and self-enrol to access the course.
